Get Out is Jordan Peele’s smash hit and directorial debut. If you haven’t seen it yet you need to fix that and see it in theaters before it leaves. The short teaser is below, but try to watch as little of trailers as you can, because they sort of spoil some of the key plot points and you want to go into this knowing as little as possible.
Several good podcasts hosted by immensely qualified black thinkers discussing issues of race in modern America (Pass the Mic and Truth’s Table) have recently gone over this movie, delving far, far deeper than I will ever be able to do.
